Pinterest is fast becoming one of the most populated destinations on the web for shoppers. (Not platform users, but SHOPPERS.) According to Pinterest, 97% of the searches on the platform are unbranded (hello, keyword strategy), 85% of Pinners use the site when they want to start a new project, and 80% of the people who use the platform go there with purchase intent… they’re in the process of planning, organizing, and making purchases. There’s a really good chance your customers are already there.
“Isn’t Pinterest just a place moms go to plan ways to make their pantries seem bigger?” π‘ Yasssss! That’s exactly where they go to make those pantries Mama’s pride and joy.
“Well… our customers are trendy, athletic men in their 30s.” π§π» Cool, man… nothing wrong with that. Though…

The geniuses at Pinterest have rolled out a bunch of changes to make this platform A MARKETER’S DREEEEAM! The algo change is surfacing newer content from a more diverse selection of Creators. They’ve also rolled out changes that expand Shop features, show local businesses in product search results, allow retailers to upload up to 5 MILLION products from their catalogs, and they even have Story Pins (only these “stories” don’t disappear after 24 hours).
